	The Pongwe Beach Hotel offers a sublime paradise island experience. The bay's sapphire blue waters — protected by the reef one kilometer from the shore — are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. If the midday sun becomes too strong you can retreat into the balmy shade of the palm trees that line the white sandy beach, and sip a long, cool drink.

Getting Here... Pongwe beach is a 35 kilometer drive on a good tarmac road from Stone town.
