	Hidden Paradise is located on the Rufiji River on the edge of the famous Selous game reserve, which is one of the biggest conservation areas in Tanzania, containing a huge variety of the most beautiful animals Africa has to offer, including “the big five”. Selous is also famous for its spectacular bird life – over 300 species -which has heartily satisfied even the most particular bird watchers. To reach the camp by air, you will fly in to Mtemere Airstrip, a short game drive away.
		Or you can drive in a 4x4 vehicle from Dar es Salaam, via the Pugu Hills. Take the Kilwa road and turn right at Kibiti. Follow the road until you come to a T-junction, not far from Selous. There is a sign with the names of all the Selous camps on it. Turn right here and turn off at Mloka village, which is about 7 km from the Mtemere park gates. Follow the signs to Hidden Paradise. The journey takes about 5-6 hours.
	The camp is tucked into a bend of the Rufiji river and boat trips are available on our luxury 200 HP boat, capable of seating up to six people. Visitors will be able to experience the sensation of being on a wild river in the middle of nowhere and meet the creatures of this beautiful environment. The river is teeming with fish, crocodiles, hippos and water birds.
		ACCOMMODATION The camp itself, on a high bank of the Rufiji River, combines luxury, simplicity and nature to offer a unique experience. The structure of the camp aims to give visitors the sense that they are being immersed in nature, truly tasting the essence that the pioneering explorers would have felt when their eyes first absorbed the splendour offered by this special place.
	The accommodation ranges from luxurious tents and bandas on the ground to tree-top tented rooms, with views of the surrounding area. Accommodation 12 rooms in total : There are 5 tents on the ground, of which two are larger, suitable for families. The en-suite bathroom at the back of the tent has a zip-lock door.
		There are four bandas on the ground, comfortabley furnished in safari style. There are three tree-top tented rooms, which overlook the quiet bush. All of the rooms are decorated in keeping with the cultures of Tanzania, comfortably furnished. Hidden Paradise wants guests to be able to relax in style and comfort watching the river roll by, while the elephants drink their fill not 50 metres away and Colobus monkeys cavort in the trees above.
	Each tent has its own special view and an en-suite bathroom with shower. It is the natural surroundings that have been integrated so carefully as to make a visitor’s time there so special, giving the sense of Africa that only a small camp can offer. 	Fly-in clients: Tents: USD 375.00 per person per night sharing. Bandas: USD 260 per person per night sharing. Single supplement:USD 50.00 per night. Drive-in clients with own vehicle: Tents: USD 325.00 per person per night sharing. Bandas: Rack: USD 210 per person per night sharing. Single supplement: Rack USD 50.00 per night. (Park Fees and game drives not included for drive-in clients.)
		The Rate includes: Full Board Accommodation, Transfer to and from Airstrip to Camp, Park Fees, Taxes. (Park Fees not included for drive-in clients.) House wine with meals, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Two daily activities: 1 Boat trip on River, plus 1 Game Drive per 24 hours. Or: 2 Game Drives per 24 hours Or: one full day game viewing with picnic per 24 hours.
	(These activities not included for drive-in clients.) Walking safaris can be arranged on request for clients staying more than 2 nights. The Rate does not include: Private vehicle.
