A cultural safari consists of several days staying in local guesthouses, eating local ethnic food and absorbing the culture of the people who have lived in the area for years.

Each day is usually spent trekking and visiting farms, houses and local projects.

All meals will be in small restaurants and your nights spent in clean but simple local guesthouses.

SAMPLE ITINERARIES:

CULTURAL TOUR PROGRAMME (TANZANIA):

12 DAYS TANZANIA CULTURAL SAFARI

DAY 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and picked up transfer to Arusha,50 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Dinner and overnight at the Arusha Camping Site.

DAY 2:After breakfast depart to Arusha National Park for a half day walk with lunch boxes.You will have 4 hours walk and here you will have very nice view to see the Roof of Africa,Kilimanjaro Mountain if the sky could be clear.Also you will see one of the Big Five animals,Buffaloes and even other small animals,as well as Black and White Colobus Monkey.After walking you will have a short game drive around the Momella Lakes where you will have another tremendous view of Kilimanjaro with Big Momella Lake.Afternoon drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3:After Breakfast depart with picnic lunch with all your bags and camping equipments and your Chef to Ngorongoro Crater,200 km from Arusha.Arrive in Ngorongoro for lunch and have a lunch at the picnic site or at the Camp while your Chef and your Guide Off Load the Camping equipments.After lunch descend to the Crater for a half day game drive.Here you will have a time to explore the Crater and finding some of the Big Five if possible.Then drive back to rim of the Crater before dark.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Camping Site.

DAY 4:After breakfast depart on the way to the walking starting point with your lunch box.Here you will start to experience the Real Africa Culture with Maasai Warriors with their donkeys who’re going to carry all your camping equipments and cooking water.This Donkeys could be driven by Maasai Warriors who also they will lead you the walking way with Ranger from Ngorongoro Conservartion Area.On the walking you will have interesting view and you may see some Wild animals like Buffaloes,Gazelles and other interesting Nature.It will take you 4-6 hrs to your camp where you will arrive at noon time and start to settle down the your Tents and your Chef start to prepare your dinner while Maasai Warriors are prepare the fire at the middle of the camp.
Dinner and overnight at Mti Moja Camp or Maasai Boma Temporary Camp.

DAY 5:After breakfast start to break down the camp and load it to Maasai Donkeys and start the walking journey with your lunch box towards the Rift Valley which it will give you the chance to see the Lake Eyasi to the South of Ngorongoro. Along here you will have another experience with different landscape with Different senary and you may see some small wild animals before last camp in the Ngorongoro Area.This walk it will take you about 3 hours,but it depend on your body energy of walking.This day it could be the last day with Maasai Warriors and Donkeys,which they will leave you in the camp at the midnight back home where you have been start with them.After arriving at the camp start to settle down the camp as usual and your Chef start to prepare your dinner, while you’re here if it will be light you may have a short walk around the Camping area with you guide and your Ranger.On this camp you may get the new visitors who are Bush mans who they will join you for the night around the Camp,because the camp could be at border of the Conservation Area and public Area and they will help you to make the fire with fire wood.

DAY 6:After breakfast break down your camp and start another short walk out of the Conservation Area to the Endamaghay gate to the Endamaghay Primary School. Here you can be welcomed by resident local people who some of them are Hadza (Bush man).This morning you will have a time to visit the School and talk to Teachers and you may visit some of the class rooms and see what the activities they have here.Also you may give them the gifts if you have any which you have with you.That time all your camping equipments could be picked up by car and transferred to the camp before you arrive at the camp.You will have the lunch box with you and you will have the lunch at the school.Then afternoon picked up by your driver guide and transfer to the camp for noon shower and rest and have a cup of tea and coffee at the camp.
Dinner and overnight at Kisimangeda Camping Site.

DAY 7:This day its very special day for doing the hunting with Bush man who are living
here and practice the life along the Lake Eyasi which sometimes it dries out during the dry season.You have to leave very early in the morning with your picnic lunch and transfer by car to the starting point where you will find those boys and mans who’re going to hunt with you and start the walking journey to count all bushes if there any creature hides there and if you’re lucky to get any animal you will see how they kill the animal with arrow and narrow sticks. This day could be very hard and long day for you because you will have to walk almost all day under the Sun to find the Wild animals which most of them they have move away because of hunted by those Bush mans.But sometimes you may be lucky and get animals very early which it will allow you to be back soon. But if they didn’t get any animal soon it may take all day hunting,and here you’re walking in bush to bush.If that day they didn’t find anything,the next day they may continue to do hunting and if you’re interesting you may join them again. After hunting you have to be back to the starting point where you can be picked up again with you driver guide and drive back to the camp for shower.
Dinner and overnight at Kisimangeda Camping Site.

DAY 8:After breakfast you will have another activity with local village with their life practice and reflex own life experience. In this area is living more than 1 tribe with different culture and different life styles, this morning you will have another village visit which is totally different with Bush man.The village which you can visit is TATOGA’S village which are pastorals in their culture like Maasai,but they have different life style and culture.Here they will welcoming with culture dancing and you will have a chance to visit their house and see how do they leave with their cattle inside the house.Also they will show you how they made the brasses with different material and very local made,but very nice and so interesting which you may like to buy all of their brasses.If you like to support them you have to buy things from them which are very nice made. Then drive around and visit different place like onion farms where the best onion in East Africa grow.Then drive back to the camp for lunch and a rest at the midday and have a swim at the natural Swimming pool which owned by the owner of the camp.Afternoon have a walk along the lake shore as long as you can,then back to the camp before dark.
Dinner and overnight at Kisimangeda Camping Site.

DAY 9:After breakfast break down your camp and prepare for departure to Yaeda, South
West of Lake Eyasi with your lunch boxes.On the way you will have explore the local village with rural area where they grow different plants especially maize, wheat,sweat potatoes and other plants.Also you will experience the real African Traditional buildings with different roofs.Arrive in Yaeda at evening time and start to settle the camp before you start another activities.Here its where again you will have more friendship with (HADZA)Bush man who’re resident in this side of the Eyasi Rift Valley who are sending their children to the school at
Endamaghay where you have start to see this tribe. Its quite long way to go but, they have to do that because Endamaghay Primary School it have been build special for Bush man children,many years ago.After settle down your camp under the Acacia Tree which allocated along the wall of the Rift Valley,called Kideru,you will have the another afternoon walking up on top of the Rift Valley where you will visit the big rock with cave where the Bush man they were hide the rain doring the rain season with different paintings.It will take you 2 hours
but you will love it and you will have very good view with Kideru Valley with your camp on the way back.
Dinner and overnight at Kideru Valley Camping Site-Yaeda Chini.

DAY 10:After breakfast depart with you camping equipments to Lake Manyara along the
African Great Rift Valley where you will arrive in noon time and settle your camp at Jambo Camp Site.Then if the time it will allow,you will have another Nature walk along the Mto wa Mbu Village where you may count all the tribes which we have in our Country.Mto wa Mbu its very famous place to all the people in our Country,where the life it’s very easy to run because it’s growing everything.Also the people here are real farmer which they grow a lot of Bananas about 30 different species of bananas and they cut about 500 tree of Bananas for selling everyday.Also you will have time to visit the market where their selling a lot of stuff,like carvings,vegetables,fruits,rice and other things.
Dinner and overnight at Jambo Camping Site.

DAY 11:After early breakfast depart to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive Where now you have to continue to enjoy the World Heritage with Wildlife. Here you will have another time to see some animals which you didn’t see in Ngorongoro Crater,Giraffes,also you will see the Hippos in the water with a Water birds along the pool.You will get different animals which we can’t Mantion here,like Elephants,Impalas and Baboons.The drive back to the camp For lunch.After lunch depart to Tarangire National Park,the home of African Elephant and Baobab Tree,the oldest tree which living thousands of years.

NOTE:This day it may be a last day after lunch with camping safari,so the clients they will stay at the lodge in Tarangire.But if they want to continue with camping it’s possible.


Afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park especially long the Tarangire River where Elephants are drinking and wallowing with their babies. Then drive back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 12:Early morning game drive before breakfast to try your lucky for anything which may be happen doring the night with cats like Lion or Leopard which hunting during the night as their nocturnals.Then drive back to the lodge/camp for breakfast,and then depart to Arusha where you will arrive for lunch.May be day Room or Shuttle to Nairobi,it depends on clients departure.


 

 

 
  CULTURAL TOUR PROGRAMME (TANZANIA):

9 DAYS TANZANIA CULTURAL SAFARI

DAY 1:Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.

DAY 2:After breakfast start for Culture tour around the Mount Meru where you can visit the local people with their activities and to see their life style. Here you can be with professional Culture Guide who can show you the different plants around the farms and how the people they manage to grow the plants.
Lunch at cultural village.
Dinner and overnight at Arusha, Lodge/Camp.

DAY 3:After breakfast drive to Mulala Culture Village: This is the village which is at slop of Mount Meru and the people there are the farmers which they grow the Coffee, Banana and small gardens they grow some vegetable for food and some for selling.
Also they have Milk Cows and they made the cheese from milk. Here you can be with the one of the women who she is a leader and guide for all visitors.
Lunch at Mulala Culture Village. Afternoon you can walk around.
Dinner and overnight at Arusha, Lodge/Camp.

DAY 4: After breakfast leave at Longido Culture Village, half way to Namanga border of Kenya and Tanzania. Here you can visit the Masai Village and you can be with guide from that village who can give the history and the culture/life style of the people which they leave there. Also you can visit the Masai school is. Primary school, secondary school.
Lunch at Culture Village Longido. Afternoon drive back to Arusha.
Dinner and overnight at Arusha Lodge/Camp

DAY 5:Leave to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive with lunch box. Here you will have full day game drive before arriving to the lodge/camp.
Dinner and overnight at Manyara Lodge/Camp

DAY 6: After breakfast leave with your lunch box to Mto wa Mbu Town. Here
you can meet your guide who can give you the lecture for Mto wa Mbu,
where you can identify all the Tribes which we have in our country, (more than 120 tribes) then you can start to practice by foot to visit the Mto wa
Mbu cultural tourism.This place is famous for all tribes in our country
Cultivates the soil is very fat to grow the difference plants as Banana tree, Mangoes tree, Oranges Rice and other vegetables as food.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Lodge/Camp.
 

DAY 7:After breakfast leave to Ngorongoro Crater for game driver with lunch box. Here you can descend down to try your luck if you can see the BIG FIVE as LION, RHINO, LEOPARD,ELEPHANT and BUFFALO. Driver back to the Lodge before dusk.
Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Camp.
 

DAY 8:After breakfast drive with picnic lunch to Lake Eyasi, south west of Ngorongoro. Here you can visit the bushman which they practice their life around the Lake Eyasi by hunting. Their life it depend the any creature, which they can kill when they hint and the fruits, which grow up around the bushes near the Lake. Also they depend the roots of different trees and grass. Afternoon drive back to the Lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Camp.

DAY 9:After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park. Arrive for lunch at the Lodge/Camp. Afternoon game drives en-route to back to Arusha and get the early dinner
