Clove Hotel is a
pleasant quality B&B hotel ideally situated in the centre of
Zanzibar Town.
Clove Hotel inn is located just behind the House of Wonders, a short walk from
the sea and the Forodhani gardens. Clove Hotel has a large roof terrace overlooking the sea where breakfast is served and is an ideal place to relax and enjoy a drink from the well stocked bar. |

The Clove Hotel was recently
completely renovated and is now managed by Lisette Aernaudts from
Holland, the former owner of a hat shop, the Madhatter in Amsterdam.
There are 6 double rooms and 2 big family rooms for max. 4 persons.
All beds are quite long for Zanzibar standards (about 2 meter)and there are two rooms special for tall people, with beds of 2.15 meter long- Dutch style !! |

Green. Excellent value for money and comfortable place to rest after
a day of sightseeing around the town." "We really enjoyed our stay at Clove Hotel in Zanzibar and would be happy to recommend it to others. As 2 friends traveling together we wanted a twin bedded room but took the family room which has 2 double beds which is spacious, cool and beautifully decorated in the traditional style. Good value for money, a safe, immaculately kept small hotel in a great central location in a good part of town with restaurants and cafes nearby and close to the night food market and sights. Breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the sea is a great way to start your day. The only thing to be warned about is to expect the call to prayer from the mosque on the corner at 5am but wherever you stay in Stone Town you will hear this. Stone Town's centre is a maze of narrow alleyways and at night, many of these are very dark and it is easy to get lost and end up in not so salubrious areas, therefore there is a big advantage to staying at a well known hotel like Clove in a central location and in a good part of town where you don't have to walk far to find what you need. " |
