Camping in general
on the Island is not encouraged as tenting is not allowed commercially
on the Island. Tents and Bandas (full-suit)-are available for "barefoot" travelers and visitors on a tight budget. The bandas are built from palm fronds and provide simple furniture, mosquito nets and a private seating area. |

But there is a number of smaller establishments offering accomodation with Tents and Bandas (full-suit)-constructed from top to bottom using "makutis", the palm leafs from the coconut tree. There are shared shower and washroom facilities available. Budget Accommodation ideal for backpacker and discount travel. If you would like to spend some days on the beach or the countryside in these types of affordable accommodation, please do get in touch with us. We could discuss with you exact requirements and give you further advice / suggestions and make you an offer or two concerning the best location for you depending on the activities and itinery you wish to pursue whilst on the Island.
